ASEC Yale G2000 Copy Lever Operated Latch & Hookbolt Twin Spindle Gearbox

The ASEC Yale G2000 Copy Lever Operated Latch & Hookbolt Twin Spindle Gearbox has a 35mm backset with 92mm and 62mm centres. It is a twin spindle latch and hookbolt centre case with a 195mm case height and a 50mm case width.

This ASEC replacement gearbox is designed as a direct copy of the Yale G2000 centre case, offering a simple solution for gearbox-only repairs. It features a latch and single hookbolt configuration with twin spindle operation, making it suitable for use on a wide range of UPVC doors.

The original locks were manufactured with a yellow passivate finish. However, all current replacement versions, whether genuine or equivalent, are now supplied with a silver finish.

Please note that the genuine Yale G2000 full mechanism is now discontinued.


Identification
The configuration of this case is unusual, as the hookbolt is positioned above the latch.

Handing
The latch can be reversed by removing the screw in the latch, taking the latch out, flipping it to the opposite hand, and refitting the screw.

Operation
Locking Method – A: Lift the lever to engage the locking mechanisms, then turn the cylinder one full turn to lock. To unlock, turn the key one full turn and push the lever down.
