The ABT GIBBONS Lever Operated Latch & Deadbolt Centre Case features a 31mm backset with 85mm and 45mm centres. It is a twin spindle latch and deadbolt centre case with a 146mm case height, 48mm case width, and a 20mm faceplate width.
It also includes an anti-thrust snib, threaded brackets, and a reversible latch bolt.
Identification
There are usually no markings on the faceplate to indicate the manufacturer.
Handing
The latch can be reversed by locating the Allen screw on the side of the lockcase, in line with the latch. Remove the screw, pull out and reverse the latch, then refit the Allen screw.
Operation
Locking Method – A: Lift the lever to engage the locking mechanisms, then turn the cylinder one full turn to lock. To unlock, turn the key one full turn and push the lever down.
Notes
This centre case is commonly used in multipoint locking systems on aluminium or steel doors.
It also includes an anti-thrust snib, threaded brackets, and a reversible latch bolt.
