5 lever mortice sashlocks are one rung down the ladder from a British Standard mortice sashlock, making them an ideal choice for medium security applications.

The majority of insurance companies require that all "final exit" doors must be fitted with at least one British Standard compliant lock. If you want to fit your final exit doors with a 5 lever sashlock you may find it necessary to also fit a British Standard nightlatch in order to meet insurance requirements.
