Panic Latch

A panic latch holds the door closed with a latch and allows exit when the push pad is pressed. These are a popular exit device solutions for buildings where prior knowledge of how the lock works is assumed, such as offices with no access to the public.

Panic exit hardware is fitted to the inside of final exit doors, and on the other side, an outside access device is generally fitted to allow emergency services access to the building.
